Qatar Chamber enhances trade relations with Malaysia's Malacca State

Doha: Qatar Chamber held a meeting on Wednesday with a Malaysian delegation led by HE Governor of Malacca State Dr. Hajj Mohamed bin Ali Mohamed Rustam.

The discussions focused on trade and economic ties between the two countries and ways to enhance them, as well as investment opportunities for collaboration between Qatari and Malaysian business owners across various sectors.

In his remarks, HE Governor of Malacca State Dr. Hajj Mohamed bin Ali Mohamed Rustam said that the state offers numerous investment opportunities in various sectors, including tourism, halal industries, and healthcare.

He called on Qatar Chamber and Qatari companies to participate in the MIHAS Halal Expo, scheduled to take place from Sep. 23-26, with the participation of a number of leading Malaysian and international companies.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Mohamed bin Jawhar Al Mohamed and Abdulrahman bin Abduljaleel Al Abdulghani, Qatar Chamber Board Members, along with HE Ambassador of Malaysia to the State of Qatar Mohammad Faizal Razali.

For his part, Dr. Mohamed bin Jawhar Al Mohamed emphasized Qatar Chamber's keenness to strengthen cooperation between Qatari and Malaysian investors, noting the significance of the Joint Business Council in developing ties between the business communities of both countries.

In turn, Abdulrahman bin Abduljaleel Al Abdulghani said that Qatar and Malaysia enjoy close relations, stressing the private sector's role in developing these relations and taking them to broader horizons.

He also noted that there are significant opportunities for cooperation between the private sectors of the two countries across various areas, including the halal industry, which offers tremendous potential and numerous opportunities.
